My residency took place in the village of Tršić, where the Serbian linguist and language reformer, Vuk Stefanović Karadžić, was born. The installations were inspired by erotic folk poems that were passed down through generations of Serbians from village to village and later transcribed by Karadžić. These collected poems are known as Crven Ban and are still shared around the region to this day. All the pieces were made with found objects discovered in and around Tršić.
